Our Craftsmen, Our Pride
Our artisans hail from small corners of India - from a village called 'Dhulagarh' in West Bengal, India, to bylanes of Bareilly, in the state of Uttar Pradesh, India. These centres have been cesspools for this hereditary & ancient craft of aari, zari & zardosi hand-embroideries for millennia. This craftsmanship has been passed down from generation to generation, with entire families of artisans sometimes working out of their drawing rooms, living out their livelihoods with a song on their lips & expert beading techniques to boast. We have been working with 500+ such families for 5 decades to craft high-fashion couture fabrics for the world.

A Third Generation Export House
The genesis of our trade began in the early 1970s with my grandfather, Mr. Gopal Chander Garg, taking a suitcase full of fabrics to the West. A refugee from Lahore, Pakistan, he made his way to the bustling streets of Calcutta to look for wares to showcase to the world. He was fascinated by local artisans practising the ancient craft of aari, zari & zardozi embroideries, beading intricate designs on all types of fabric. Wide-eyed & full of conviction, he set out to showcase this craftsmanship to the fashion capitals of the world.

However, following his untimely demise, my father - Mr. Jiten K Garg - joined the business & expanded our horizons. Under the patronage of global designers mesmerized by Indian embroideries & stones, my father was instrumental in placing our heritage on a global pedestal. The work started flowing in & a small village with countless lives & families was transformed back home.

After years of working overseas, I followed suit & embraced the opportunity of serving my community. Today, we work with single-designer boutiques to luxe-fashion brands across 6 continents, offering a livelihood to 500+ artisan families in Dhulagarh & Bareilly.
